Follow these steps to ensure your tattoo heals perfectly using the Saniderm method.
01The First 1–6 Days: Saniderm Phase
The Timeline:Keep your bandage on for up to 5 to 6 days total.
The "Ink Sack":Do not panic if fluid or ink builds up under the plastic. This "ink bubble" is completely normal and actually helps your tattoo heal!
Alcohol Rule:No drinking alcohol for at least 24–48 hours after your session (it thins the blood and slows healing).
⚠️ Remove Early If:
Leaking:If fluid escapes the bandage, the seal is broken. Remove it immediately and wash the area.
Allergy:If you see a severe red rash or hives around the edges of the plastic, take it off.
02Bandage Removal (The Sticky Part)
Warm Water:Always remove the bandage in a warm shower. The heat helps melt the sticky adhesive.
The "Stretch":Pull the bandage down and out (like a Command Strip), stretching it parallel to your skin. Do not rip it off or pull straight up.
Stubborn Residue:If the skin is still sticky after removal, rub a tiny bit of coconut or baby oil on the glue, then wash the area thoroughly with soap.
03Healing Phase (After Removal)
Wash Gently:Wash the tattoo 1–2 times a day using clean hands and a mild, fragrance-free, antibacterial soap.
Pat Dry:Always use a clean paper towel to pat the area dry. Do not rub and do not use bath towels.
Moisturize:Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion (e.g., Bepanthen, Cerave) 2–3 times daily. Let the tattoo air dry for 5–10 minutes before applying.
No Picking:Do NOT scratch, pick, or peel any flaking skin. Let the flakes fall off naturally.
Clothing:Wear loose, breathable clothing over the tattoo area to avoid friction.
04Things to Avoid (2–4 Weeks)
No Submerging:Showers are fine, but absolutely no baths, pools, ocean water, or hot tubs.
No Direct Sunlight:Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds until fully healed.
No Heavy Sweating:Avoid the gym or heavy sweating for the first 3–5 days.
No Alcohol Products:Keep alcohol-based products away from the tattooed skin.
05Long-Term Care & Touch-Up Policy
Sun Protection:Always apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) on your tattoo when exposed to the sun to keep the ink vibrant.
Stay Moisturized:Keep your skin hydrated for long-lasting ink.
Infection Check:If you notice any signs of infection (excessive redness, pus, fever), consult a doctor immediately.
Touch-ups:Touch-up sessions start at 500–1,000 THB. The final quote will depend on the placement, size, and age of the tattoo. Please consult us for an assessment.
Note: There is no warranty if aftercare instructions were not followed (e.g., sun exposure, swimming, heavy exercise).
